This conference is geared toward parents and caregivers. This will be an opportunity to connect, learn, refresh, and return equipped to be the best caregiver possible. You will be most able to participate and receive to the fullest when you are not trying to look after someone. Consequently, we have not arranged for children’s activities or participation at the venue. If you have independent, older children (teenagers?) who can participate and benefit from the conference, you are welcome to register them, but we would discourage bringing young or highly dependent children with you as you would not be able to fully engage.

If you have need of childcare in the area, there are a number of resources available. These companies are not affiliated with, nor specifically endorsed by Lafayette Federated Church or the One Body Many Parts disability ministry, but they are publicly available resources that may meet your needs. Of course, please exercise due diligence before entrusting any caregiver with your precious loved one(s).
